Dina & Andrey: Stern, 22.03.2011

Dina and Andrey had a familial show in the Café Stern in Tübingen. They played various evergreens from the east and the west - I liked their songs from the former Soviet Union very much. They were supportet by Mario at the guitar and the whole singing audience.

Roman Wreden and friends: Schwarzes Café, 19.03.2011

Roman and his band (Matthias Lehr, Bernhard Ledusic) played at the tiny (and to my despair) tellingly dark "Schwarze Café" in a small alley in Reutlingen. It was an intimate show with an enthused audience and lots of encores. The fascinating thing about Roman's music is that he manages to write often quiet and melancholic tunes that nevertheless don't lack the necessary edge. Matthias' energetic yet cautious cajòn playing and Berni's smooth bass lines are the perfect backing for Roman's songs. My personal favorites: "Trophy" and "Don't mind stealing time"
